Grillow — a bulletin board for houses that are for sale

About Grillow

Grillow exists to answer the question a listing never does: is this house any good? A listing on Zillow gets a comment thread here and a cookedness score — a single number, voted on by whoever turns up, for how bad the crowd thinks the house is. The listing tells you the square footage. It does not tell you that the only bathroom is off the kitchen.

How it works

• Paste a Zillow link on this page to start a thread, or open a listing with the Grillow Chrome extension installed and the thread is already there, beside the photographs.
• Comment on the listing as a whole or on one particular photograph, reply to other people, and vote on how cooked the house is.
• A listing appears in the feed above once somebody has said something about it. Reading any of it needs no account.

Signing in

Signing in is only needed to post, reply or vote, and there are two ways to do it: with Google, or with an email address and a six-digit code we send you. There is no password either way. With Google, Grillow receives your name, email address and profile picture; with a code, only the address you typed.

Either way it is used for exactly one thing: attributing what you post to an account so you can edit and delete it. Your email address is never shown to other people, and nothing is sold or handed to advertisers. You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time — see the privacy policy.

What Grillow will not host

Anything about the people connected to a listing. No names, no personal details, no accusations about owners, sellers, buyers, neighbours or agents. Talk about the house. Comments that break that rule are removed and anyone can report one — the full version is in the terms of use.
